Differentiated Services on Linux

چکیده
Recent Linux kernels ooer a wide variety of traac control functions, which can be combined in a modular way. We have designed support for Diierentiated Services based on the existing traac control elements, and we have implemented new components where necessary. In this document we give a brief overview of the structure of Linux traac control, and we describe our prototype implementation in more detail.

Our results show, that both per-hop-behaviours — expedited and assured forwarding — are able to provide a guaranteed bandwidth together with a very small delay and jitter even in a highly congested network.
